I am a licensed clinical psychologist who delivers evidence-based treatment to adults. I offer a humanistic and affirmative approach and am passionate about supporting the holistic wellness of my clients. In an often harsh and exclusive healthcare system, I will do everything in my power to nurture you, validate you, and honor your value so you can safely explore and heal. I work to bring curiosity, authenticity, and lots of humor to my practice. I want to hold space to explore, heal, and expand through a blend of humanistic and behavioral techniques. I have spent my career working with adults navigating various mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. As a queer nonbinary member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am particularly interested in exploring the unique issues, strengths, and gifts of our diverse community with you. This extends to those who are coming out, exploring sexual or gender identity, and/or anyone moving toward being your most authentic self. With adults I focus on sex-positive, kink/poly-aware, trans-affirming approaches. My training includes extensive experience working in VA Healthcare Systems, where my focus was in treating veterans with PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression. I have specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and have advanced training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I earned my Psy.D. from Alliant International University. I completed an APA-accredited internship at the joint Walla Walla/Spokane Washington VAs followed by an APA-accredited postdoctoral residency at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Outside of my therapy practice, I strive to be an active white ally, taking action for racial and gender equity, reading voraciously, binging shows, cooking, and snuggling with my kitten Luna. |
